At $70 a year, a family of 4 only needs to visit the Center 4 times during the year before a family membership has paid for itself! Or for an extra $30 a year receive two complimentary children’s t-shirts and free admission to over 150 children’s museums across the country!

Association of Children’s Museums Reciprocal Membership Program

Museum members paying an annual fee of $100 or higher at any museum listed in this brochure may participate in the ACM Reciprocal Membership Program.  Present your museum membership card with an ACM sticker on the back (issued by your own museum) at any of the museums listed and enjoy the following privileges:

  • Free admission at all times during regular museum hours.
  • Admission to special exhibits as offered to members of that museum.
  • Admission to members’ previews as offered to members of that museum.

Exclusions: Privileges do not include mailings from participating museums, except for the museum with which the member is affiliated.  Privileges do not include gift shop discounts from participating museums, except for the museum with which the member is affiliated.  Privileges are extended through December 2003, as long as the visitor’s membership card is valid and the issuing museum is current in ACM membership dues.  Please call museums or check Web sites in advance of your visit to determine the hours that they are open to the public.  A complete listing of participating museums is also available at ACM’s Web site, www.childrensmuseums.org.

What is a Docent?
The Discovery Center is now looking for docents. As a Docent, you will work with our educational professionals to promote excellence in education by providing hands-on programs to visitors of all ages. Through your active involvement, you will help children, teens and adults who visit Discovery Center, through our tour program, to grow in knowledge, competence and appreciation of themselves, their families, their community and their environment.
