  Summer Volunteer Opportunities:

Discovery Guide - interact with visitors to use the museum and exhibits.
Summer Camp Volunteer
- assist Summer Camp leaders with week long camps.

Training Sessions:

  • June 3, 2010
    10:00 - 11:00: General Training
    11:15 - 12:30: Summer Camp Training
     
  • June 8, 2010
    2:30 - 3:30: Animal Training
     
  • June 17, 2010
    1:00 - 2:00: General Training
    2:15 - 3:30: Summer Camp Training

**All summer volunteers must attend one General Volunteer session. Summer Camp volunteers must attend a General Training session and a Summer Camp training.**

Volunteers who wish to work with the animals must attend the animal training session.

 
 

Volunteer hours are flexible; however, it is important to look at family and personal calendars before committing to Discovery Center.

Please Read the following carefully: Summer volunteers are welcome to do both camps and floor support, but they are separate jobs. So when filling out the Floor Support Availability and Camp Preferences sections of this application, you do not need to check both items, just the area you prefer. In addition, when choosing camps, please note the age group of the campers. You must be at least 3 years older than the campers. Thank you.

Would you like to volunteer for camps?  To volunteer for a camp you must volunteer the entire week of the camp.  Camps only need 3-4 volunteers (max.).  They are filled on a first come basis.
