• Check or Credit Card:
Donations made by checks and credit cards are the easiest ways to give to Discovery Center. Please make your check payable to Discovery Center and mail to:

Be sure to note the purpose or designation of your gift on the “memo” line of your
check. If no designation is made, Discovery Center will apply it to an area
determined by the Executive Director.

• Corporate Matching:
Many corporations participate in matching the gifts of their employees. Some double or triple each dollar contributed. Your company's Human Resource Department can provide details and the matching gift form to include with your check.
• Stock:
Your wise stock market investment is a great gift to Discovery Center! By donating your investment, you avoid long-term capital gains tax and deduct the full market value on your tax return. It is almost always to your advantage to transfer appreciated securities to Discovery Center directly, rather than selling them and giving cash. • In-Kind Gifts:
Discovery Center is always grateful for in-kind gifts, such as labor, building materials, exhibit items, office supplies, etc from individuals and corporations. For more information call (615) 890-2300.
• Endowments:
Funds donated to Discovery Center’s endowment are different from other donations in that they are truly the gift that keeps on giving. Instead of the entire amount of the gift being spent outright, the total amount of the gift is invested. An endowment is a perpetual gift because only the interest is used to support the museum while the principle continuously grows. An endowment is a great way to link your legacy with Discovery Center’s future forever!
• Planned Giving:
Discovery Center has always been grateful for the support of our community. We also realize that our future depends on your goodwill and support. If you are thinking about your future and how you would like to leave your legacy, consider supporting Discovery Center’s mission, beyond your lifetime and into the future! Many planned giving options include bequests, retirement plans, life insurance, wills, or real estate. The best way to give depends on your situation and should be discussed with your attorney, accountant, or financial advisor.
• Naming Opportunities:
Naming one of Discovery Center’s exhibit areas is a perfect way to ensure lifelong learning for the entire community. Our new Water, Wings, and Wheels permanent exhibit area provides the perfect opportunity to support Discovery Center, ensure the availability of quality educational exhibits to all of Middle Tennessee, and to leave your legacy!
